In the spirit of “learning through play,” the bilingual class offered by the USR team is carefully planned. Each native Chinese speaker partners up with an international student to NCCU, and they together deliver an English course so as to improve children’s listening as well as speaking skills.
 

The bilingual class, which meets for 2 hours, one time a week, takes place at Mingdao Elementary School. These college students work in pairs making all-out effort on various lesson plans, which cover interactive lectures as well as educational games. Besides, some of these college students come from NCCU teacher education program, making the bilingual class an even more professional teaching site, where promising pre-service teachers are brought in on-site for solid training, and creating positive feedback for NCCU teacher education.
